Washington, D.C., December 12, 2008 – The UPS Store, located at 455 Massachusetts Ave NW, has opened its doors to serve Mount Vernon Triangle and the neighboring communities on December 1, just in time for the holidays. The UPS Store brings a full range of shipping, postal, printing, and packaging services to residents and businesses alike – steps away from new retailers, offices, condos, and apartments. And timing could not be better to meet the needs of holiday shoppers.
“I lived at 400 Mass, just across the street from our new store, a few years ago and there was an absence of services in the area,” said store co-owner, Sola Cardoso. “My wife and I used The UPS Store a lot in the suburbs, so we knew it well before we opened our own franchise.”
The UPS Store prides itself on having specially trained and certified packing experts. They can pack anything, from fragile glassware to larger items like motorcycles and armoires, ensuring that customers’ holiday packages arrive intact.
“We have seen the neighborhood moving in the right direction,” said store co-owner, Lola Cardoso. “It is fantastic now with people moving in, and we think there is a lot of potential.”
In addition to packing and shipping, The UPS Store offers black-and-white and color duplications, document binding and laminating, notary, and printing letterhead.
The UPS Store locations are independently owned and operated by licensed franchisees of Mail Boxes Etc., Inc., a UPS company. With more than 6,000 locations around the world, The UPS Store and Mail Boxes Etc. brands comprise the largest network of retail shipping, postal, and business service centers.
