DESCRIPTION:This is the monthly meeting of ANC 6E\, your local advisory neighborhood commission. All are welcome to attend. \nPlease visit anc6e.org for the full agenda and link to join. \nWhat is an ANC? \nAn ANC is a non-partisan\, neighborhood body made up of locally elected\, unpaid representatives. The ANCs’ main job is to be the official voice representing residents\, business owners\, and other neighborhood stakeholders before the District government (and Federal agencies) on events that affect their neighborhoods. Although they are not required to follow the ANCs’ advice\, District agencies are required to give the ANCs’ recommendations “great weight.”
