455 Massachusetts Avenue Achieves Fitwel Certification

One of these stakeholders is ASB Real Estate Investments, long-time owner of 455 Massachusetts Avenue and recent recipient of the Fitwel certification from the world’s leading certification system that optimizes buildings to support the physical, mental and social health of tenants. Generated by expert analysis of more than 5,000 academic research studies, Fitwel is implementing a vision for a healthier future where all buildings and communities are enhanced to strengthen health and well-being. Fitwel was created by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and U.S. General Services Administration.

Also certified LEED Platinum, the 243,000 SF office building possesses several attributes that make it well-suited for the Fitwell designation. This includes a desirable location with convenient access to multiple transportation options, a high-quality indoor environment and attractive tenant amenities such as a fitness center, tenant lounge and rooftop.

As further evidence of its commitment to social engagement, ASB Real Estate and 455 Massachusetts Avenue also took part in the Paint the Storefronts initiative that transformed the first floor retail storefront windows of the building into colorful works of art with positive messages. Painted by local artist Luther Wright, the 455 Massachusetts Avenue storefront was painted with bright and vibrant works that now that brighten the day of tenants and neighbors that pass by.
