DC Bar Headquarters Building Now Under Construction

Saturday June 18, 2016

On June 6, the District of Columbia Bar celebrated the groundbreaking of its new 100,000 square-foot headquarters at 901 4th Street with participation from Mayor Muriel Bowser, DC Bar President Tim Webster, MVT CID President and CEO, Kenyattah Robinson, and other local officials, dignitaries and D.C. Bar leadership. The Bar is one of several large organizations to recently choose the vibrant and growing Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood for its new home. The DC Bar will occupy approximately two-thirds of the building, which is being developed by The Wilkes Company and Quadrangle Development Corporation, with the remaining space set aside for lease by other companies, retailers and restaurants. This $70 million project is the largest in the Bar’s history and will save the trade association at least $25-32 million in occupancy costs over 30 years.
