About Mount Vernon Triangle CID
Since 2004, the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District (MVT CID) has redefined what it means to live in the centrally located East End of Washington, DC. Our team is constantly working to ensure that your experience in our neighborhood is the best and most memorable that it can possibly be. We do so by providing clean and safe services, organizing community events, promoting economic development opportunities, and mobilizing public support toward a common vision for community needs (such as safe and reliable transportation and mobility options and additional greenspace), and serving as a trusted liaison with local, federal, and non-profit partners to address neighborhood challenges when they arise.

As your Community Improvement District, we strive to create long-lasting partnerships between neighbors and foster enduring connections within our community. Because #MVTogether. - Open year-round, Mount Vernon Triangle hosts one of the area’s best and fastest-growing outdoor farmers markets. More than just a place to visit and shop, the FRESHFARM MVT Market has become a popular Saturday destination and an opportunity to share in the special joy of being together with neighbors and pets.
- Community in Mount Vernon Triangle is fostered when we create opportunities for neighbors to gather and engage. Mount Vernon Triangle is known for its fun, family-friendly events. Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District
On Friday, September 15th the MVT CID will join with 5th Street Ace Hardware to transform two parking spaces on 5th Street, NW – just north of K Street, NW and in front of the hardware store – into a 40-foot contiguous pop-up park or park(let) as part of 2017 PARK(ing) Day. In one parking space, the hardware store will fabricate a complimentary workshop and outdoor seating area, where store staff will lead free informational workshops to customers and visitors walking by. In the second parking space, the MVT CID will welcome guests to a free game area, including oversized wooden “jenga” blocks, plinko, and tic-tac-toe. The MVT CID/5th Street Ace Hardware park(let) will be open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each year, working in conjunction with the District Department of Transportation, DC businesses put their creativity on display, building pop-up parks and living rooms in curbside parking spaces. Come by this Friday and join the fun!
