Summer Fun Plans! “Doggone Fun Day” on June 24, Petting Zoo on July 29

Tuesday June 20, 2017

Mark your calendars now for two of our most popular summer events — Doggone Fun Day (formerly Dog Agility Day) on Saturday, June 24 and the always popular petting zoo on Saturday, July 29 with a special guest appearance by Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen — both free events and open to the public. Both events will be held from 10 AM until Noon in Milian Park alongside the FRESHFARM MVT Market

Doggone Fun Day: The MVT CID and Spot On Dog Training will host Doggone Fun Day at Milian Park on June 24. This family and dog-friendly event, will feature agility equipment and training insights from a Spot On trainer as you and your four-legged friends romp and explore exercise elements designed to stimulate your dog’s mind and body. After the exercise, energize your pet with free house-made dog treats from A Baked Joint and enter a raffle for a wonderful doggie gift basket courtesy 5th Street Ace Hardware.

Petting Zoo: On July 29, join the MVT CID and Leesburg Animal Park for the return of our free petting zoo! Our mini zoo will expand this year with even more delightful creatures under our shady tents and trees. Animals may include llamas, goats, donkeys, sheep, ducks, pigs, chicks and bunnies, all available for gentle petting from our residents and visitors.

Dogs are required to be on leash at all times at all MVT CID events. Follow the MVT CID on Facebook and Twitter @mvtcid for updates.
