SUMMARY:Volunteers Needed: Pack Backpacks for Kids In Need!
DESCRIPTION:MVT-based business Lutron\, which specializes in intelligent lighting and shades\, is organizing a Backpack Filling Jam to provide essential school supplies for children in need\, supporting the So Others Might Eat (SOME) Back to School Campaign. For over 50 years\, SOME has been a beacon of hope in Washington DC\, breaking cycles of poverty and homelessness. Their Back-to-School campaign directly empowers children with the tools for success. \nLutron is looking for enthusiastic volunteers and teams to participate in a fast-paced competition to fill as many backpacks as possible on Wednesday\, August 6 from 5-8pm. Whether you’re a seasoned organizer or just looking to lend a hand\, your energy will help them reach their goal of filling 200 backpacks for students in need.  \nAll the materials to fill the backpacks will be provided along with cocktails\, mocktails and lite fare. The event will take place at Lutron’s Experience Center located at 455 Massachusetts Ave NW\, Suite 770\, learn more and register on Eventbrite!
