Sharing his work at schools\, theaters\, and venues around the world\, he has performed in Cape Town\, Boston\, London\, New York City\, Stockholm\, Seattle\, the Kennedy Center\, and the South African State Theater. Committed to empowering the next generation of artists and activists\, for over 10 years he has been teaching and mentoring young people\, creating outstanding opportunities for teenage poets. He currently lives and works in Washington D.C. His book\, I Got the Matches\, and other poems are available at jonathanbtucker.com \n* * * \nFor two hours\, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices and a vast array of professional spoken word performers\, open mic rookies\, musicians and a different host every week. Expect to be moved\, expect a packed house\, expect the unexpected\, but above all come with an open mind and ear. \n$5 Cover. No refunds. Ticket purchase limit of 4 per person. Guests must have their wristbands (tickets) on upon entering the event. \nSeating is available on a first come\, first seated basis. No saved or reserved seats are allowed.
