MVT’s March Madness Bracket Challenge Returns for 2025!

Whether you’re a die-hard college basketball fan or pick your teams based on how cool you think the mascots are, all are welcome to join us for some virtual community fun with the chance to win some great prizes! We will once again be running a men’s and women’s bracket challenge, so be sure to enter both to double your chances of winning!

Submitting a bracket is easy, PLUS you’ll enter to win one of the following three amazing prizes to support businesses in our MVT community:

  • 1st Place: $80 in gift certificate to participating MVT retailers
  • 2nd Place: $40 in gift certificate to participating MVT retailers
  • 3rd Place: $20 in gift certificate to participating MVT retailers

Here’s How to Play:

  1. Join the “Mount Vernon Triangle CID Men’s 2025 Bracket Challenge” AND “Mount Vernon Triangle CID Women’s 2025 Bracket Challenge”  groups through ESPN’s Tournament Challenge website.
  2. After creating an account, you will need to “Join A Group” with this information:
    • Group Names:
      • For the Men’s Tournament: Mount Vernon Triangle CID Men’s 2025 Bracket Challenge
      • For the Women’s Tournament: Mount Vernon Triangle CID Women’s 2025 Bracket Challenge
    • Password: mvtcid25
  3. Entrants may also “Search Groups” on the ESPN Website

Rules

  • Entries will not open until Sunday, March 16 but you can make your account and register for the bracket prior to then.
  • Entrants will have until Thursday, March 20 at 12:15pm to join the group and complete your men’s bracket and Friday, March 21 at 11:30am to complete you women’s bracket. You may make changes to your bracket selections up until the start of the first game in each series when all selections will be finalized.
  • Competitors can only submit one bracket per person, per tournament in the MVT March Madness groups.
  • Points will be awarded to brackets by each game you pick correctly. Points will increase during each round of the tournament.
  • Following the men’s championship game on Monday, April 7 and the women’s championship on Sunday, April 6, the players who accumulate the most points and have the highest scores in each bracket challenge will be awarded their prize! In the event of a tie, the winners will then be entered into a raffle, and one will be randomly selected as the winner to receive one of the above prizes.
  • First, second, and third place prizes will be awarded to the winners of the Men’s Tournament and Women’s Tournament so be sure to enter both!
  • MVT CID will contact winners directly.

While watching the games, be sure to support one of the many local restaurants in our neighborhood including Over Under which is running watch specials for March Madness!
