Tunes in the Triangle Free Concert Series Returns to Mount Vernon Triangle

Live music will return to Mount Vernon Triangle in 2016 as the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District (MVT CID) brings back the “Tunes in the Triangle” evening concert series at Milian Park at 5th Street and Massachusetts Avenue, NW in Washington, DC (with one exception; see below). The concerts, which showcase local artists of genres ranging from pop to jazz, will be held from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, are free, and guests are encouraged to pack a picnic; bring a blanket or chair; and enjoy the music with friends, family, kids and pets. Evenings in the park will include popular family games – corn hole, hula hoops, bubbles and more – and free lemonade.

The concerts are scheduled for:

Thursday, July 21 – The Oxymorons (Genres: Rock, Blues, New Orleans funk, Americana)
Tuesday, August 2 – Alison Carney (Genre: Eclectic)
Note: Tuesday, August 2 concert to be held at 5th & K Street in conjunction with the annual “National Night Out” community-building campaign; stay tuned for additional details
Thursday, August 18 – Justin Trawick (Genre: Americana)
