The Today Show Profiles Chef Tim Ma of MVT’s Lucky Danger for Efforts to Stop AAPI Hate

Friday May 21, 2021

Earlier this week, Chef Tim Ma of Lucky Danger in Mount Vernon Triangle and Kevin Tien of Moon Rabbit received high-profile, national recognition on NBC’s The Today Show for their work with Chefs Stopping AAPI Hate—an initiative they co-founded in response to the rise in hateful and racist attacks perpetrated against Asians, Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). Chefs Stopping AAPI Hate brought multiple DC chefs together to raise awareness and funds to stop AAPI hate through the preparation several five-course, Sunday take-out dinners since April 4. The dinner series continues to make national and local headlines, including these stories in Thrillist and on ABC News.
