Catch the Historical Society of Washington, DC’s Visual Exhibit “For the Record: Changing DC” Before it Goes

For more than 120 years, the Historical Society of Washington, D.C., located within the Carnegie Library at Mount Vernon Square, has helped preserve depictions of the city’s built environment through paintings and photographs. For the Record is an annual juried exhibit of artworks that captures Washington’s changing urban landscape. In 2016, the Historical Society challenged local artists to create 2D artwork depicting Washington’s changing built environment. For the Record: Changing D.C. provides exposure, recognition, and enduring prestige to local artists, and raises funds to support the Historical Society.
