dLeña, Bar Chinois Earn Michelin Nods!

Thursday April 21, 2022

Congratulations to dLeña [476 K Street NW] and Bar Chinois [455 I Street NW] for being named by Michelin as two of 16 new DC restaurants that are up for either star(s) or a Bib Gourmand status this year.  Here’s what the publication’s inspector had to say about each establishment:

Bar Chinois. The team here has envisioned a swanky and hip French wine bar with delectable Asian bites — and so this fantastic haunt was born.

dLeña. This large Richard Sandoval operation, spread over two floors, serves up the likes of guacamole de bonito, uplifted by smoky charred tostadas — a thrilling way to begin proceedings.

Check out this Eater DC article to learn more about the latest crop of restaurants in the running for Michelin stars or Bib Gourmand status. As you may recall, Ottoman Taverna nabbed Bib Gourmand recognition in 2018 and again in 2021 – the same year that MVT newcomer Stellina Pizzeria also received this recognition.

Best of luck to our MVT nominees for their nominations and stay tuned to Triangle Times for what we hope is more good news once Michelin makes its big 2022 reveal!
