dLeña’s Viva Abejas Campaign Launches Next Tuesday

Thursday March 17, 2022

The Viva Abejas campaign kicks off at dLeña [476 K Street NW] next Tuesday, March 22 and lasts through Sunday, April 24. Viva Abejas demonstrates the importance of bees, as one in every three bites of food depends on bees for pollination, and centers around Pachamama, the Incan goddess of Earth, planting, harvesting, and fertility.

Throughout the campaign, diners can enjoy bee-centric dishes like the charred crispy tostada with smashed avocado, heirloom tomato, radish, serrano, bee pollen, and cilantro espuma, and avocado panna cotta with lavender-almond crumble, blood orange reduction, bee pollen, and honeycomb ice cream. Thematic cocktail offerings include The Queen Bee with bourbon, sherry, thyme-honey syrup, lemon juice, and angostura bitters, a Honey Lavender Margarita with patrón blanco, fresh lime juice, honey lavender simple syrup, violet syrup liqueur, créme de violette, and triple sec, and the Pachamama with mezcal joven, lavender and citrus infused honey, and lemon juice.

Guests can also purchase house-made bee pollen nutrient capsules, filled with energy and immune support for a fun and healthy experience.
