Meet MVT’s Newest-ish Business: Noble Cleaners
Friday January 31, 2025
When long-time (and we really mean long-time!) business owner Stephen Han decided to sell his beloved Sundown Cleaners and retire, he passed the torch to new owners who have rebranded as “Noble Cleaners”. We sat down with their general manager, Amber (pictured above middle), to learn a little more about the new business and its charitable efforts. Read the interview below and stop by the shop at 200 K Street NW, Suite 6 the next time you need some dry cleaning done!
MVT CID: Tell us a little about yourself
Amber: Noble Cleaners, a small mom-and-pop shop now located in Mount Vernon Triangle, is dedicated to delivering top-notch service. We make sure your clothes are returned fresh and clean, and if we spot any stains, we’ll explain the process and may ask for extra time to ensure they come out looking like new.
MVT CID: What services do you offer at Noble Cleaners?
Amber: In addition to dry cleaning, we offer wash/fold, delivery at no extra cost, household items, leather cleaning, shoe repair, and alterations.
MVT CID: Can you tell as a little more about your hanger return program?
Amber: We also have a community program where we give back to children’s hospitals, supporting the future of our community. At the end of each year, for every dry cleaning hanger returned by our customers, we donate the cost saved from not having to purchase new hangers to those in need. It’s our way of showing appreciation and helping out those in need.
MVT CID: What does the word “community” mean to you and how do you see it growing here in Mount Vernon Triangle?
Amber: To us, the word “community” means giving back to those who support us. We understand that life gets busy, and people come and go, but we still want to show our appreciation. By working here, we’ve realized how important it is to give in some way, shape, or form to the people around us. It’s our way of being there for the community that has been there for us.
MVT CID: What is your favorite thing to do here in Mount Vernon Triangle?
Amber: I haven’t had the chance to explore Mount Vernon Triangle yet, but based on what I’ve seen from my customers, there’s definitely a vibrant culture here.
