Meet the DC China Center President: June 20-26

If you have a business or organization interested in expanding its reach into China, please take note of an important upcoming opportunity engage directly with the President of the DC China Center, Ning Shao, who will be in the District between June 20-26. His visit includes a fireside chat-style discussion with the DC Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, June 26 from 9:30-11:00AM regarding his perspective on U.S.-China relations, recent trade developments, and what it means for DC business leaders. Admission is free and open to the public.

Established by the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) in 2012 as the District’s first international office with locations in Shanghai and Beijing, the DC China Center helps to facilitate trade, education and cultural exchange, tourism, real estate investment, and business meetings on the behalf of the District. It also assists DC-based businesses looking to enter and grow in the Chinese market through work order and envoy programs. The DC China Center offers free consulting services, including market research, logistical support, and technical assistance for DC businesses and organizations interested in China. To date, the Center has assisted over 60 DC businesses and institutions.
