MVT CID Stands with Chefs & Allies Working to Stop AAPI Hate

Thursday March 25, 2021

In response to the rise in hateful, violent and unprovoked attacks perpetrated against Asians, Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI), earlier this week MVT CID released a message of solidarity that included information about Chefs Stopping AAPI Hate—an upcoming effort to show support for the AAPI community and local businesses.

Co-founded by Chef Tim Ma of Lucky Danger in Mount Vernon Triangle and Chef Kevin Tien of Moon Rabbit, Chefs Stopping AAPI Hate is a series of five-course take-out dinners each Sunday in April by multiple DC chefs coming together to raise awareness and funds to stop AAPI hate. Mount Vernon Triangle establishments RASA and Mélange are also involved in this effort.
