MVT’s Cucina Morini Featured in Washingtonian Magazine’s “Best New Restaurants” July 2024 Issue!

Wednesday July 3, 2024

Accolades for Cucina Morini (901 4th Street NW) continue to be served up hot! Last week, we brought you the news that The Washington Post food critic Tom Sietsema posted rave reviews of the new Mount Vernon Triangle Sicily-inspired eatery and this week we’re back again to say that the restaurant helmed by Chef Matt Adler has been featured in Washingtonian Magazine‘s July issue of “Best New Restaurants”! Here’s what they had to say:

This loud, low-lit Mount Vernon Triangle spinoff of the Navy Yard fixture Osteria Morini has been packing them in from the start. Seven-dollar martinis—and good ones, available all night at the bar—certainly help. Even more alluring: a seafood-heavy coastal Italian menu from Caruso’s Grocery chef (and Osteria Morini alum) Matt Adler. Some flavors, such as the fluke crudo simply dressed with blood orange and olive oil, are elegant and restrained. Others are punchier: Linguine with clams sings with lemon and garlic, and roasted game hen gets a hit of hot honey.

Congratulations to the entire team on another well-earned review! Reservations are available at to see what all the buzz is about for yourself!
