The news has been coming fast this fall and we are excited to share the following:

  • Ogden CAP Properties, LLC has acquired 450K Street (left, previously known as m.flats) from Kettler, as the 233-unit, 13-story apartment development reaches completion. Kettler has been retained to lease and manage the new property and reports strong early interest in the studio, one and two-bedroom apartments. • Paradigm Companies reports that Meridian II has started phased delivery, with move-ins starting last month and residents enjoying their new apartments on the first few floors. This 393-unit high-rise tower will expand on the amenities and success of the first tower, which was completed in 2012. • Busboys & Poets has reached an agreement with longtime Washington bookstore, Politics & Prose, to open satellite locations in five Busboys & Poets locations, including the location in Mount Vernon Triangle. Customers of the mini-stores, which should open by Fall 2015, will be able to get quick deliveries on orders from the Connecticut Avenue store, place special orders and enjoy Politics & Prose membership discounts.
  • Alba Osteria owner, Hakan Ilhan, has announced the signing of a third lease in the MVT for Ottoman Taverna, a 200-seat, authentic Turkish restaurant. The menu will feature cold mezze dishes, spit-roasted meats, flatbreads and much more. Details can be found in this Washington Business Journal article.
