Spring Cleaning? Put Your Giveaways to Use at Central Union Mission’s Ready2Recycle Program

Monday May 23, 2016

You may not know that our MVT CID Clean Team Ambassadors come to us from Central Union Mission’s “Ready to Work” job training program, which has helped to stabilize and transform the lives of many of our formerly homeless neighbors. Our friends at Central Union Mission have a new program called “Ready2Recycle” and would welcome donations from the community. Better yet, they will be happy to pick up donations directly from you! Ready2Recycle is a new service opportunity that benefits you or your group or club as well as Central Union Mission residents. The Ready2Recycle work development program employs graduates from the organization’s spiritual transformation program to pick up, sort and manage donations, which are distributed at their Food PLUS Center or used to help provide products and services for the vulnerable people they serve. Needs include small appliances and household items, exercise and outdoor equipment, home textiles, kids’ toys and stuffed animals, kitchen goods, books, magazines and other media and clothing.
