Vaccine Mandate Rescinded & Mask Requirements to End March 1

Friday February 18, 2022

Earlier this week, Mayor Bowser announced that indoor venues in the District are no longer required to verify patrons vaccination status. However, businesses can still choose to have a vaccination requirement. Similarly, the office does not plan on extending the current mask mandate that runs through Monday, February 28.

Masks will still be required in schools, child care facilities, libraries, medical facilities, DC government buildings, public transit, and congregate facilities.

Residents are still urged to get vaccinated, including a booster shot. Visit DC Government’s Get Vaccinated webpage for more information on where you can get vaccinated.

If you require testing, be sure to visit the new PCR testing site that’s just a short walk from MVT at Judiciary Square on F Street NW between 4th & 5th Streets NW.
