Your Guide to Pride in Mount Vernon Triangle!

Friday June 5, 2026

Pride is in full swing here in DC and we are excited to see so many of our MVT businesses and residents getting into the festivities with rainbow décor! MVT CID is proud to celebrate alongside our neighbors and share three unique happenings in the Triangle that explore all sides of Pride. So, whether you identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, have guests coming into town to celebrate Capital Pride, or are an ally, we hope these events help you celebrate in a way that feels true to you:

Buddies The Queer Spa DC
317 H Street NW
Buddies Spa and PMA Consulting, two local Mount Vernon Triangle businesses, are hosting the 2026 Pride Celebration on Friday, June 19 from 5:45pm-Midnight. Supported by lead sponsor, Big Gay Smiles, this event will bring together friends, family, and allies for a night of music, dance, drag, and self-expression.

The evening will begin with a meet-and-greet with Jackie Cox, known for her appearances on RuPaul’s Drag Race and her current role on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. Attendees will have the opportunity to take photos and get autographs. The highlight of the night will feature live performances by Jackie Cox, Bambi Necole Ferrah, Tiffany D. Carter, and Sue Pozzie-Torrie. Additionally, local artists will have their work on display, and select Pride items will be available for purchase. William & Mary Washington Center
901 4th Street NW
On Wednesday, June 10 the W&M Washington Center and the Crim Dell Association invite you to gather and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community! Hear from historian Jay Watkins, Ph.D. as he brings to life a little-known story of queer resistance in the American South, a few words from NoVA Prism Center’s Executive Director Leon van der Goetz, followed by a reception with food, drinks, and community. The keynote reflects on what queer history shows about the power of gathering and community. This celebration continues that tradition by bringing people together to foster hope and strengthen connection. Learn more and register for the event at my1693.com.
