Cooking Demos Return to FRESHFARM MVT Market

With full re-opening of the District underway, things are starting to heat up at the FRESHFARM MVT Market – literally – with the return of cooking demonstrations at market! Swing by the market info tent at 11am tomorrow for a taste of smashed cucumber and tomato salad with za’atar and feta. And while there, grab a copy of the recipe to recreate it at home, and shop for the ingredients from your favorite farmers, growers and producers! Here is this week’s market vendor lineup:

- Black Rock Orchard, fruits and vegetables
- Capitol Cider House, alcoholic beverages and seasonal ciders
- Finesse Essential Body, all natural, handmade bath and body products (attends biweekly)
- Just AJ’s Food, veggie hotdogs
- Kallaloo Kitchen + Crop Eats, vegan muffins and baked goods
- Pleitez Produce Farm, conventional produce grower
- Sexy Vegie, vegetarian sandwiches, salads, soups and wraps
- Shenandoah Seasonal, sustainable produce grower
- Sunnyside Flowers, flowers, eggs and meat (subject to availability)
- Tae-Gu Kimchi, kimchi
- Zeke’s Coffee, coffee to-go and whole coffee beans
Grassfed Griddle, a new pop-up vendor that makes delicious breakfast sandwiches will make its appearance at next weekend’s market!
The FRESHFARM MVT Market is located at the corner of 5th & I Streets NW and is open from 9am-1pm every Saturday, rain or shine. As a reminder, masks are encouraged, but not required for vaccinated market patrons.
