Kettler’s m.flats Apartments Intalling Unique Green Wall, Art and Amenities

Sunday August 10, 2014

If you walk by m.flats at 450 K Street, you’ll see that the landscaping has been completed along the K Street wide sidewalks, the bike racks are installed and leasing is underway for 6,500 square feet of ground floor retail. Inside the apartment building, m.flats’ stunning “green wall” (seen left) has begun growing and finishing touches are being added to the art-filled lobby. Kettler’s Stephan Rodiger describes the lobby of the building as an art infused “downtown sanctuary”, with elevated architectural and artistic features. “In the way that museums are often a stage for communities to come together to socialize and appreciate new things, so too will the amenity space of m.flats encourage neighbors to interact,” said Rodiger. Lobbies and corridors will resemble modern art galleries through a combination of simply finished walls and floors and lighting that highlight interesting art.The rooftop is the capstone, with a beautiful pool, year-round entertainment lounge, multiple grilling stations and plenty of seating for lounging and dining. Distinctive sculptural art and art installations will be positioned across the entire rooftop level, connecting the outdoor space to the art on the lower levels.
