Say Hello to la Betty!

Tuesday February 12, 2019

The owners and family of DC fixtures baked & wired and abakedjoint are opening a new concept, la Betty, in the heart of Mount Vernon Triangle.

The 65-seat neighborhood spot will be open for dinner every day except Tuesday from 5 pm-Midnight. Co-owner Teresa Velazquez describes the menu as “the kind of food we eat at home,” and will feature a fresh take on comfort food. la Betty will also incorporate bread from sister store abakedjoint’s in-house baking program. Designed by co-owner Tony Velazquez, the space has a warm, energetic ambiance. The concept is customer service forward, with a focus on bringing the true neighborhood restaurant back to DC. Guests can expect the same fun, energetic environment as baked&wired and abakedjoint.

la Betty is targeting a mid-March opening date; stay tuned to mountvernontriangle.org and social media @mvtcid for updates.
