FRESHFARM Mount Vernon Triangle Farmstand Opening Saturday, May 7 with FREE Spring Fest Event

The Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District (MVT CID) is pleased to announce the return of the FRESHFARM Mount Vernon Triangle Farmstand at 5th & K Streets, NW on Saturday, May 7 – one week earlier than last year – along with a family-friendly event, Spring Fest in the Triangle, kicking off the season with fun for people of all ages. The festive, open-air Farmstand, supplied with certified organic produce, fruits, eggs and baked goods from Chicano Sol Farm in Blain, PA, will once again be located at the 5th & K Street NW sidewalk plaza in front of City Vista. The market will be open from 10 AM to 1 PM every Saturday morning through October 29, 2016.
The MVT CID thanks its sponsors for this FRESHFARM market — 450K Apartments, Lyric 440K Apartments, the Meridian Mount Vernon Triangle apartments, Texas de Brazil, Steuart Investment Company and Boston Properties. The May 7 event, Spring Fest in the Triangle, will add to the sense of excitement in this vibrant and fast-growing DC neighborhood with live music, complimentary lemonade and popcorn, tastings from L’Hommage Bistro Francais and Texas de Brazil, reusable market bags, free children’s games and crafts and face painting from 10 AM to Noon. Chicano Sol is a USDA certified organic farm based in Blain, Pennsylvania. Chicano Sol curates items including fruit and vegetables sourced from organic and conventional farms, breads, baked goods, and eggs, as well as additional products from artisanal producers in the FRESHFARM Market network.
