Chez Lily Celebrates Eight Years in the Triangle!

Tuesday September 8, 2026

Local, woman-owned coffeeshop Chez Lily (425 Eye Street NW) celebrated a major milestone on Friday, August 28 when it marked its eighth anniversary here in the Triangle! Before opening Chez Lily, co-owner Lama Hamoudi set out to create a cozy and welcoming coffee shop reminiscent of the ones she spent many hours in while completing her PhD in comparative literature, and eight years on the café is doing just that. Patrons have come to enjoy the fresh coffee and espresso drinks made from Maryland roaster Vigilante Coffee Co., creative sandwiches and lunch offerings, and free Wi-Fi while dog owners in particular enjoy the pet-friendly policies and special “puppuccinos” for their furry friends. The next time you need a caffiene fix, plan to stop by Chez Lily at 425 Eye Street NW or order online via Doordash, Grubhub, or UberEats.

Congrats to Lama and the whole Chez Lily team on this major accomplishment, we wish you continued success for many years to come!
