Thursday May 16, 2019

Last weekend, hundreds attended the highly anticipated re-opening of Carnegie Library at Mount Vernon Square featuring the new DC History Center and a new flagship Apple store and event space. To celebrate, there will be a six-week ”StoryMakers Festival” kicking off this Saturday, May 18 and culminating with a block party on Saturday, June 29. This Saturday from 10:30am – Noon, guests can enjoy ”Music Walk: Creating Soundscapes with GarageBand,” where you can make music using everyday sounds. You’ll practice active listening and microphone techniques to record your environment using GarageBand on iPad. You’ll edit your recordings and add music to make your own soundscape. Bring your iPad or they will provide one. Recommended for all skill levels.
