Friday June 26, 2026

Independence Day is next Saturday and we have started to put together a list of deals and events happening around MVT to help you celebrate America’s 250th birthday! Check out the list below and be sure to keep an eye on @MVTCID on Instagram for updates and last-minute additions:

2fifty BBQ
414 K Street NW
Celebrate America’s 250 with Mount Vernon Triangle’s “2fifty” [Texas BBQ]! There’s nothing like celebrating July Fourth with a plate of barbecue, so let 2fifty take the stress out of the holiday and pre-order a platter by Tuesday, June 30 While you’re ordering, consider tossing a few of their new All-American Lagers into your cart. This special collaboration with Denizens Brewing Co. is a crisp, easy-drinking lager brewed specifically to complement the rich, smoky flavors of barbecue.

Ciel Social Club
601 K Street NW
Ciel’s annual fireworks viewing party is already sold out but plan to stop by to check out the rooftop bar’s summer design concept, Ciel Riviera, starting Friday, June 26!

dLeña
476 K Street NW
dLeña is celebrating Fourth of July weekend and America 250 with a community-driven brunch initiative rooted in the restaurant’s immigrant story and the cultural contributions that shape America’s dining landscape. From Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5, a portion of brunch proceeds will support the Amica Center for Immigrant Rights, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit providing legal and advocacy support for immigrant families and asylum seekers across the DMV region. MVT Photo Walk
400 Block of K Street NW & Prather’s Alley
Take a step through local history with Class Action at the MVT Photo Walk during Independence Day weekend! Witness how DC students celebrated America’s bicentennial in 1976 and learn more about the dedicated teachers, school leaders, parents, students, and activists who have worked to protect and strengthen DC’s tradition of Black educational excellence. Class Action at the MVT Photo Walk was created in partnership with DC History Center and is an extension of Class Action, an interactive exhibit curated by Historian Erica Sterling currently on display at the DC History Center.
