Mother’s Day Made Easy & New Kimchi Vendor at FRESHFARM MVT Market
Thursday May 6, 2021
he FRESHFARM MVT Market continues this Saturday from 9am-1pm at the corner of 5th & I Streets NW – just in time to stock up on all of your Mother’s Day brunch and dinner essentials including fresh flowers from Sunnyside Farm! As a special thank you to our MVT moms, we’ll be giving away up to 25 of our brand new 2021 edition tote bags that are perfect for helping you manage both the kiddos and your market haul. Limited quantities of this always-popular market essential are available, so be sure to arrive early for your VIP bag before we make them available to the general public next weekend.
What’s more, Tae-Gu Kimchi – seller of various types and flavors of homemade, prepackaged kimchi – is joining our line-up as a permanent weekly vendor! Please stop by and welcome them to market. And thanks to our community’s overwhelming support, Finesse Essential Body nearly sold all of its soap and natural body products during its inaugural market pop-up last weekend. They will return to market on a permanent bi-weekly basis starting next Saturday, May 15 and join this line-up of regular vendors:
- A Baked Joint, bread
- Black Rock Orchard, fruits and vegetables
- Capitol Cider House, alcoholic beverages and seasonal ciders
- Just AJ’s Food, veggie hotdogs
- Pleitez Produce Farm, conventional produce grower
- Sexy Vegie, vegetarian sandwiches, salads, soups and wraps
- Shenandoah Seasonal, sustainable produce grower
- Sunnyside Flowers, flowers, eggs and meat (subject to availability)
- Tae-Gu Kimchi, kimchi (NEW VENDOR)
- Zeke’s Coffee, coffee to-go and whole coffee beans
We still anticipate that Kallaloo Kitchen, maker of vegan muffins and baked goods, will join our market in the coming weeks and we’ll share further news about this new addition once available.
MARKET GUIDELINES: As a reminder, all customers must comply with FRESHFARM’s safety rules to enter the market space. This includes mandatory mask requirements, as most recent guidance states that masks are still recommended at farmers markets and other crowded outdoor events. Except for children under age two, masks continue to be required at market per local and CDC guidance as well as FRESHFARM policy. This unfortunately also means no pets (for now), but we will monitor CDC guidelines as they evolve. Visit the FRESHFARM MVT Market page on MountVernonTriangle.org for more details, and we look forward to seeing you at market!
