Movies in Milian Celebrates 20 Years of Community with a Blast From the Past Lineup!

Friday September 6, 2024

Ken Jennings is on a 74-game Jeopardy win streak. You’re drinking a Sprite Remix while wearing UGG Boots and making calls on your Motorola razr cellphone. “Yeah!” by Usher is playing on the radio. The year is 2004 and the Mount Vernon Triangle CID has just been chartered.

In celebration of our 20th anniversary, we are taking you back in time to 2004 with our Movies in Milian series this season! We have put together a lineup filled with nostalgia and cutting-edge animation that will bring you back to younger times (no, we will not be sharing how old we were in 2004). And new this year, we are moving our movie screenings to Tuesday nights so, bring your own picnic blankets or borrow a chair from us and enjoy free movies in Milian Park (499 Massachusetts Avenue NW) at sundown (approximately 7pm) starting Tuesday, September 17! Check out the lineup below:

Tuesday, September 17: Shrek 2 (PG) – CANCELED (Rain Out)
Tuesday, September 24: Mean Girls (2004) (PG-13) – CANCELED (Rain Out)
Tuesday, October 1: The Incredibles (PG)
Tuesday, October 8: National Treasure (PG)

October 1, 2024 Update: Three Rainouts & We’re Out (Until the Spring!).  We are moving our Movies in Milian series to the spring! Look forward to the same great lineup of 20th (+1 year) anniversary movies coming this spring to a theater (Milian Park, 499 Massachusetts Avenue NW) near you!
