MVT Celebrates National Night Out: Tuesday, August 7

Please join the MVT CID next Tuesday, August 7 from 6-8pm at Milian Park as we celebrate National Night Out 2018. Free and open to the public, the event will feature a moon bounce, lawn toys, face painting and refreshments for kids as well as live music by the always popular Justin Trawick who headlines the final concert in our 2018 “Tunes in the Triangle” summer series!
- Enjoy free tastings from MVT CID restaurant retailers A Baked Joint, Alta Strada, Mandu, Prather’s on the Alley & Tropical Smoothie Café
- Explore a Metropolitan Police Department squad car
- Meet a United States Park Police horse
Joining the MVT CID for community-building and engagement will be the following local and federal organizations:
- Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs
- Ward 6 Mayor’s Office on Community Relations and Services
- Metropolitan Police Department Asian Liaison Unit
- United States Park Police
- National Park Service
Representatives from 425 Mass Apartments, 450K Apartments, 455 Eye Apartments, Lydian+Lyric Apartments and Meridian at Mount Vernon Triangle Apartments will also be on-hand to pass out giveaways and showcase their beautiful property amenities that make #LifeinMVT so special!
Celebrated in communities across America, National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign to generate for, and participation in, local anti-crime and emergency preparedness programs and to strengthen neighborhood spirit.
