MVT Restauranteurs Respond to Tragedy

Friday February 7, 2025

After last week’s devastating plane crash on the Potomac two restaurateurs with ties to MVT stepped up to ensure that first responders were receiving free, healthy, hot meals to fuel their heroic efforts. Chef Matt Adler of Cucina Morini took the morning to volunteer with World Central Kitchen to distribute meals while RASA co-founder and MVT CID Board Member, Officer, and Executive Committee Member Rahul Vinod mobilized his staff to prepare more than 1,000 fresh, hot meals for DC Fire & EMS teams. Rahul and RASA’s efforts even gained the attention of ABC World News which profiled their work on its nightly #AmericaStrong segment. We are humbled to know that we have such community-minded leaders working within our neighborhood and thank Rahul, Matt, and all of the first responders who stepped up and took the call to provide assistance through this national tragedy. Our thoughts and hearts are with all of those who were directly impacted by this disaster and we grieve your loss along side of you.
