Spring Fest 2026 at Cobb Park Recap
Friday May 15, 2026

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the inaugural Spring Fest at Cobb Park with us last Saturday! The day started at 10:45am with a line down the block of attendees eager to claim their commemorative lawn blanket – and they officially ran out less than an hour into the event! It was wonderful to see and meet so many familiar and new new faces all eager to experience the culmination of almost a decade’s worth of advocating and executing on a shared vision for a high-quality park in Mount Vernon Triangle. As Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen remarked, “great communities deserve great public spaces,” and we couldn’t agree more. Take a look below at some of the highlight moments from the day and stay tuned for more memories coming soon!

Thank you to the many special guests who joined us on the Spring Fest at Cobb Park stage on Saturday including:

- DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) Director Rosemary Suggs-Evans (pictured top right)
- DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Director Thennie Freeman (pictured bottom front middle)
- DC Department of General Services (DGS) Director Delano Hunter (pictured bottom back middle)
We are grateful to our government partners and loved celebrating the start of sunny season with so many public officials who have worked tirelessly to see the Cobb Park vision come to life.

Cobb Park represents a capstone of our community’s progress. As our DGS partners put it in their Instagram recap post, “This is about creating a space where families can gather, kids can play, neighbors can connect, and the community can truly enjoy being outside together.”

This is just the beginning for Cobb Park. We’re so excited to continue bringing inclusive community events and programming, increased seating options, and possibly – as one mom brought up to us on Saturday – additional shade options around the playground in the weeks, months, and many decades to come!

A special thank you once again to the following Spring Fest 2026 at Cobb Park sponsors without whose support this celebration would not be possible:
