Star Court Pavilion Schedule Update

Friday September 11, 2026

If you’ve passed by or attended a recent event at Cobb Park and wondered what’s taking shape behind the construction fence, you’re not alone. We’ve been hearing the question frequently—and are pleased to share that progress is underway!

What’s being protected is the Star Court Pavilion, which was designed by architect Andrew Pressman, FAIA, and made possible through the generous philanthropy of Ms. Myrna Sislen. The team at En.Zo Metalworks in Brooklyn, New York, is fabricating the custom benches and related finishes for this distinctive space.

Per En.Zo, installation of the Star Court Pavilion’s final fins and brackets is anticipated during the first week of October. Once that work is complete, it may be possible to remove the remaining scaffolding and equipment — and, with it, the temporary fencing that currently obstructs landscaping services from being provided in that section of the park. The completed benches are anticipated to arrive and be installed in early November, followed by a commemorative plaque.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as the final pieces of Cobb Park (along with evening lighting) come together and look forward to welcoming the community soon into Star Court Pavilion!
