Tunes in the Triangle Returns for a Second Season of Evening Concerts

Sunday July 17, 2016

Free, live music will return to Mount Vernon Triangle as the MVT CID brings back the “Tunes in the Triangle” evening concert series at Milian Park at 5th & Mass (with one locational exception; see below). The concerts, which showcase local artists of genres ranging from pop to jazz, are free and guests are encouraged to pack a picnic; bring a blanket or chair; and enjoy the music with friends, family, kids and pets. Tunes in the Triangle will be from 6:30 – 8:30 PM and will include popular family games – including corn hole, hula hoops and bubbles – as well as refreshments provided by the MVT CID and local restaurant partners.

The concerts are scheduled for Thursday, July 21 w/ The Oxymorons; Tuesday, August 2 w/ Alison Carney; and Thursday, August 18 w/ Justin Trawick. The August 2 concert at 5th & K Streets will be in conjunction with the annual “National Night Out” community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live; stay tuned for additional details.
