Vaccine Mandate Goes into Effect Saturday, January 15

Friday January 7, 2022

As a reminder, everyone over the age of 12 and older will soon need show proof of vaccination to enter your favorite Mount Vernon Triangle establishments. That’s because to combat the spread of COVID-19, Mayor Bowser has implemented a vaccine mandate throughout the District. Beginning 6am on Saturday, January 15, the following types of establishments will be required to verify that patrons ages 12 and older have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine:

  • Restaurants, bars, nightclubs
  • Indoor cultural and entertainment facilities
  • Indoor exercise and recreational establishments
  • Indoor event and meeting establishments

On Tuesday, February 15, individuals who are ages 12 and older will have to show proof of full vaccination (i.e., two doses of COVID-19 vaccination).
