MVT Photo Walk Opening Reception + Artist Talk – “24 Hours of #LifeInMVT”

September 7, 2023 @ 6:00 pm EDT

If you’ve ever wondered what goes on in Mount Vernon Triangle during a 24-hour span, you’re in luck! The latest MVT Photo Walk exhibit, “24 Hours of #LifeinMVT,” was installed along the 400 block of K Street NW and Prather’s Alley this week. The exhibit was curated by Exposed DC and features images taken by four talented, DC-based photographers who spent a day capturing moments in the neighborhood. Each photographer was assigned a six-hour shift ensuring that every minute of an average day in MVT could be celebrated through their lenses.

Be sure to take a look at the photographs for yourself the next time you are passing through and sign up for our special Opening Reception + Artist Talk to hear directly from two of the four photographers next Thursday, September 7! The free tour will leave from HEMPHILL (434 K Street NW) at 6:30pm but attendees are encouraged to arrive early to view the gallery space.

Thank you to the photographers Farrah SkeikyMukul RanjanSteven Cummings, and Justin “Olot” Featherstone for sharing your unique views of #LifeInMVT. Support for this exhibit was provided by the DC Office of Planning’s Streets for People Grant Program.
