Environmental Assessment Process Kicked Off for Union Station to Georgetown Streetcar Planning

On October 2nd, The District Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration held a public meeting at the Carnegie Library to start the environmental assessment process for the Union Station – Georgetown streetcar line, which is proposed to run along K Street in the MVT. Another public meeting will be held in November as the agencies continue to gather public comment and explore the options for this highly impactful transportation initiative.
