“Good Morning America” Profiles MVT Chef for Efforts to Stop AAPI Hate

Earlier this week, Chef Tim Ma – the inspiration behind the MVT-incubated phenomenon Lucky Danger that is now Bar Chinois – and Kevin Tien of Moon Rabbit received high-profile, national recognition on ABC’s Good Morning America for their work with Chefs Stopping AAPI Hate—an initiative they co-founded in response to the rise in hateful and racist attacks perpetrated against Asians, Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI).
Chefs Stopping AAPI Hate brought multiple DC chefs together to raise awareness and funds to stop AAPI hate through the preparation of several five-course, Sunday take-out dinners that began spring 2021. The dinner series – which has expanded nationally and now includes events to support relief efforts in Ukraine – continues to make national and local headlines, including stories in Thrillist, on ABC News, and on NBC’s The Today Show.
