Mount Vernon Triangle Features Four Parklets on PARK(ing) Day

Thursday September 29, 2016

On Friday, September 16, four Mount Vernon Triangle retailers transformed the parking spaces at their front doors into a welcoming courtyard to sit, visit and relax with friends as part of 2016 PARK(ing) Day in Washington, DC. Each year, working in conjunction with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT), DC businesses put their creativity on display, building pop-up parks and living rooms in curbside parking spaces. Silo, 5th Street Ace Hardware, 450K and BicycleSPACE all brightened the day of many people (including Councilmember Grosso, pictured here at the 450K Apartments) and their pets as their parking spaces were re-imagined as a relaxing public space.
