MVT CID Promotes its Destination Appeal at WDCEP Annual Meeting

Tuesday January 9, 2018

The MVT CID team joined hundreds of entrepreneurs and start-ups, real estate brokers, service providers and local “makers” at the Washington DC Economic Partnership’s Annual Meeting + ECON Showcase in December to promote our neighborhood’s growing brand as a “destination of choice” for anyone looking to live, work, do business or entertain in the District of Columbia. The event provided a platform to promote the MVT CID as a top DC submarket. MVT CID staff hosted an exhibition table and provided updated development material to industry professionals.

The annual event, which featured remarks by DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development Brian Kenner, and business leader and philanthropist David Rubenstein, to name a few, also provided attendees the opportunity to view the release of this year’s WDCEP Development Report summary of major development and construction projects across DC. The report specifically highlights Mount Vernon Triangle (along with NoMa and Union Market) in its round-up of five neighborhoods that are undergoing significant development progress.
